Based in Saint-Julien in Loire-Atlantique , Tristan Rampon , a young 31-year-old winemaker, has been cultivating his family heritage with passion and openness since 2022. On his 23 hectares of vines planted on gneiss for the reds, supplemented by 4.7 hectares of leased land on clay-limestone soils for the whites, he strives to reveal the sincere expression of each terroir.
A lively approach to the terroir
Committed to regenerative viticulture , Tristan places great importance on soil life and biodiversity. His practices aim to preserve and strengthen the wine ecosystem:
- Planting hedges and trees around plots ( agroforestry );
- Use of green manures to naturally nourish the soil;
- Homemade preparations (such as nettle manure ) to stimulate the vine's natural defenses.
These choices promote more resilient vines, healthy grapes and an authentic expression of the terroir.
Precise, sincere and grounded wines
In the cellar, Tristan Rampon pursues the same philosophy: low-intervention vinification and the pursuit of purity. The reds, from gneiss soils, are vinified using carbonic maceration , offering fruity, fresh and digestible profiles. The whites, from clay-limestone soils, are distinguished by their tension and finesse.
