Vintage effect on the 2019 with a heatwave at the end of June, which gives a concentrated and deep wine.
Centenary vines. The two grape varieties are covinified. Crushed-destemmed. Maceration for about 3 weeks. This is a micro cuvée.
Capacity 75 cl, 14% alcohol.

A word from the winemaker:
"The vines that I cultivate are vines that are approximately between 25 and 100 years old. They are in the commune of Roujan, in Hérault, between Pezenas and Faugères: an island of four small plots (1.5 ha in total) in the middle of the scrubland and 16 ares of Grenache in Vailhan where my wine cellar is located. The soil is mainly schist. The vines are in goblet form without trellising. I practice permanent grassing, the flora and wild fauna create a beautiful biodiversity. No work is mechanized, maintenance is done with a pickaxe and brushcutter. The treatments (exclusively sulfur and copper in limited quantities) are carried out with a backpack atomizer. Every winter, I welcome a shepherd and his flock of sheep for a week to mow and smoke the vines. The harvests are manual and carried out in crates. I have been established since 2016, when I applied for Ecocert certification. Winemaking equipment: vertical press, stainless steel tanks and small volume fiber. Small bottling equipment where the wine is bottled by gravity. I practice winemaking without inputs or add a very small amount of SO2 in case of risk of deviation of the wine. I practice light interventions during winemaking: punching down, pumping over and racking »

Label & Natural Wines

Some labels can help us identify a natural wine. The AB label, for example, certifies organic farming. The Demeter label, for its part, guarantees biodynamics. There is also the 'Vin Méthode Nature' label, as well as 'Nature et Progrès', 'Les Vins SAINS', and many others.

Some estates choose to adhere to a single label, or even not to be labeled at all, even though their cultivation and winemaking method would allow it. In other words, there is no strict rule. It all depends on the winemaker's vision, his desires, and his convictions.

For us, it is important to meet all the people we work with in order to understand their working method and select the products that match our ideology.

Natural wine

At Terra Vinea, we are deeply passionate about natural wine. We love the emotions it arouses, the surprises a bottle can give us, the memories wine gives us. We also find it important to consume a product grown and vinified with respect for the fauna and flora, preserving all the life around and in it. These convictions are part of us, and we are proud to represent these women and men who put their heart and soul into offering us these living wines.
