Jérôme Saurigny is a passionate winemaker based in Rochefort-sur-Loire, in the Layon valley, in the heart of Anjou. After studying oenology in Bordeaux, he worked in the Pomerol region before turning to a more natural approach to viticulture.

🧭 A journey of transition to natural wine
Initially, Jérôme Saurigny worked as a cellar master in Pomerol, where he was trained in conventional viticulture practices. However, a decisive meeting with winemaker Sébastien Dervieux (known as Babass) of Domaine des Griottes prompted him to reconsider his approach. He then decided to embark on the adventure of natural wine, without additives or added sulfites, and acquired his own estate in 2007.

🌿 Domaine Saurigny: a commitment to nature
Domaine Saurigny spans 6.5 hectares, farmed organically since 2010. Jérôme grows grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Gamay, and Grolleau. The winemaking practices are environmentally friendly, featuring manual soil work, the use of draft horses, and a reduction in chemical treatments.

Vinification is carried out without the addition of sulfur or other inputs, allowing the wines to fully express the terroir and grape varieties. Jérôme Saurigny is a member of Vins S.A.I.N.S. (Sans Aucuns Intrants Ni Sulfites ajoutés), an association of winemakers committed to the production of natural wines.

🍷 Rare and sought-after wines
The cuvées from Domaine Saurigny are particularly appreciated by natural wine enthusiasts. Wines such as the 2021 "Grold" and the 2017 "Salamandre" have sold at auction for high prices, testifying to their quality and rarity.

🌍 Japanese inspiration
In 2016, following devastating frosts, Jérôme Saurigny experimented with blending red and white grapes in the same cuvée. This innovation was inspired by a trip to Japan, where he discovered the Sakurajima volcano, thus giving his "Sakurajima" cuvée its name.

Jérôme Saurigny's 2021 Più is a natural wine made from a blend of white and red grape varieties. It is aged without added sulfites and boasts beautiful aromatic purity, typically featuring white fruits, citrus, a floral touch, and a hint of roundness, balanced by lovely mineral tension.

It is a free-spirited, lively, textured, and vibrant wine—perfect for seasonal, simple, yet expressive cuisine.

🕰️ Temperature & service
Serve at 10-12°C (50-54°F); do not serve too cold, as this may mask the aromas.

No decanting required, but open 10-15 minutes before serving to let it breathe (depending on the bottle).

Shipping and delivery costs

Shipping costs vary depending on the type of transport, the carrier and the delivery location, as specified when placing the Order. The exact costs will be indicated to the Customer before confirming the Order.

Delivery is made to the address indicated by the Customer. The Company is not responsible for delivery errors due to incorrect information provided by the Customer.

Delivery times vary depending on the type of port and the delivery location, but will not exceed thirty (30) days from validation of the Order, unless otherwise specified when ordering.

In the event of non-receipt of the package or damage, the Customer must notify Terra Vinea and the carrier within 3 days of delivery. 

Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has fourteen (14) days to exercise his right of withdrawal from a contract concluded remotely, without having to provide reasons or pay penalties, with the exception of return costs. This period begins upon receipt of the package by the Customer.

Products must be returned in good condition, in their original packaging and accompanied by the original invoice. Your purchase will then be refunded to you within fourteen (14) days after receipt of the package by Terra Vinea.
