A word from the winemaker:
"This family estate for four generations, located in Puimission, has been managed using organic farming since 1987, well before this type of production became fashionable. Over the years, the entire vineyard (15 ha of vines) has been restructured, the winemaking cellar modernized, and the quality of the wines has improved. Since 2007, a new impetus has been given to the estate. The wine that was mainly sold to the trade is now sold entirely in bottles in France and for export. The harvests are manual. The vinifications are careful and adapted to the grape variety and the vintage. They are as natural as possible. The choice to vinify "naturally" is the culmination of the work carried out in the vineyard, it is to limit the inputs to let the grapes express themselves (no addition of SO2, yeasts, enzymes, etc.).
SO2 contributions are generally non-existent – including at bottling – for all vintages in order to preserve the authentic character of our wines.
Bottling is done at the estate, without filtration, trusting the lunar calendar, so that the wines that bear our name are pampered from the vine to the glass. We let nature do its thing while keeping an eye to observe, a hand to help and accompany, a palate to taste, a heart to share...
Wine is a beverage that generates dialogue and conviviality... Grapes, work and love, such is our philosophy.

Label & Natural Wines

Some labels can help us identify a natural wine. The AB label, for example, certifies organic farming. The Demeter label, for its part, guarantees biodynamics. There is also the 'Vin Méthode Nature' label, as well as 'Nature et Progrès', 'Les Vins SAINS', and many others.

Some estates choose to adhere to a single label, or even not to be labeled at all, even though their cultivation and winemaking method would allow it. In other words, there is no strict rule. It all depends on the winemaker's vision, his desires, and his convictions.

For us, it is important to meet all the people we work with in order to understand their working method and select the products that match our ideology.

Natural wine

At Terra Vinea, we are deeply passionate about natural wine. We love the emotions it arouses, the surprises a bottle can give us, the memories wine gives us. We also find it important to consume a product grown and vinified with respect for the fauna and flora, preserving all the life around and in it. These convictions are part of us, and we are proud to represent these women and men who put their heart and soul into offering us these living wines.
