This Armagnac is made from two grape varieties, Ugni blanc (65%) and Colombard (35%). Aged in a 55 hl tuns, never emptied since 2001. Each year, 10% of the volume is emptied, and replaced with Armagnac three years older. This solera aging method enriches the blend from year to year, and gives an exceptional smoothness.
Capacity 70 cl, alcohol content 43.2%.

The history of the Castle:
"The Château took on its current appearance in 1939, when Osmin Rozès bought the Estate. It remains the family home today.
We are the 4th generation of Armagnac producers at Château de Léberon.
The vines of the château are old. Their average age is 40 years, some are over 60 years old. The Ugni-Blanc, Colombard and Baco grape varieties share the estate.
We use the traditional Armagnac still, known as "continuous heating", which allows us to preserve the maximum aromas of the wine and to obtain a generous, rich and textured eau-de-vie.
Depending on the years and the harvest obtained, the brandy coming out of the still will not be the same. It already has the intrinsic characteristics that will be the basis for its next maturation. It is then up to us to choose the most suitable barrel, new barrel or red barrel (barrel that has already received a brandy) and to determine the time it will stay there in order to develop this or that aromatic profile.
The aging of our Armagnacs takes place within the castle itself.

Label & Natural Wines

Some labels can help us identify a natural wine. The AB label, for example, certifies organic farming. The Demeter label, for its part, guarantees biodynamics. There is also the 'Vin Méthode Nature' label, as well as 'Nature et Progrès', 'Les Vins SAINS', and many others.

Some estates choose to adhere to a single label, or even not to be labeled at all, even though their cultivation and winemaking method would allow it. In other words, there is no strict rule. It all depends on the winemaker's vision, his desires, and his convictions.

For us, it is important to meet all the people we work with in order to understand their working method and select the products that match our ideology.

Natural wine

At Terra Vinea, we are deeply passionate about natural wine. We love the emotions it arouses, the surprises a bottle can give us, the memories wine gives us. We also find it important to consume a product grown and vinified with respect for the fauna and flora, preserving all the life around and in it. These convictions are part of us, and we are proud to represent these women and men who put their heart and soul into offering us these living wines.
